Privacy Policy

NanoPack (“the app”) and this website are made by Digital Sandbox BV (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the Netherlands. We designed NanoPack to need as little of your data as possible, so this policy is short, plain and honest. It explains what we collect (almost nothing), where your data lives, and the choices you have.

The short version

Information we do not collect

The app does not collect personal information. There is no account, so we do not have your name, email or a profile. We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or a device advertising identifier, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. In App Store terms, NanoPack is a “Data Not Collected” app.

Information stored on your device

The trips, packing lists, reusable Kit, and app settings you create are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage. This data stays on your device and is under your control. Deleting the app removes it.

Optional iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, your lists and Kit are synced across your own Apple devices through Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit), inside your personal iCloud account. iCloud sync is part of NanoPack Pro and uses your own iCloud, not an account or server of ours. If you later share a trip with someone else, a Pro feature coming in a future version, that shared trip is synced the same way, through Apple’s iCloud. In every case the data does not pass through any NanoPack server, because we do not operate one, and we cannot read it. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off, or manage and delete the data, in your device’s iCloud settings.

Purchases

NanoPack is free, with an optional one-time Pro purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment and shares only what is needed to confirm your purchase status with the app; we never receive or store your payment details. Apple’s handling of purchase data is covered by Apple’s own policies.

Diagnostics

We do not run our own analytics. If you have opted in to share diagnostics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash and performance reports through App Store Connect. These reports are aggregated by Apple and are not linked to your identity. You can turn this off in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.

This website

nanopack.app is an information site with packing lists, guides and travel tools. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking or analytics cookies, and it does not sell or share your data. The tools run entirely in your browser; anything you type into them (a bag size, a temperature) stays in your browser and is not sent to us. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard, non-identifying server request logs to serve and secure the pages.

Children

NanoPack is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect it from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, you already control it directly: you can view, edit and delete it in the app, and remove all of it by deleting the app or clearing its iCloud data. If you have any question about your rights, email us at support@nanopack.app and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
